THE TOWNSHIP
PKB's flagship development project is Bandar Kinrara, which was launched in 1991 and is expected to be fully completed by 2014. By then, the town, with a land area of 1,904 acres of which about 611 acres are still to be developed, will have a total of 16,779 units. Sales of terraced houses launched in early 2005 have exceeded 98 percent. In March 2006, 26 units of Gem double-storey semi-detached houses were launched, with almost all units taken up to-date. The Pearl double-storey semi-detached houses, totaling 28, were launched in January 2007 and 22 have been sold thus far.
Concerted efforts are underway to re-brand Bandar Kinrara - the town now enjoys multiple access via highways such as the Kesas Highway and Lebuhraya Damansara Puchong; the main entrance has been upgraded with a landscaped linear park that doubles as a jogging track; the 18-hole public golf course is being complemented by an international-class cricket pitch; and new designs have been introduced for its recent launches. Sensitive to concerns today in regard to security, guardhouse facilities and perimeter fencing, wherever possible, are being offered in current and future launches.
